From Thursday 26 May 2022 to Saturday 28 May 2022 you can find us at the Imaginarium Festival. Come along for a chat about the HSFCon, Eurcon 2024 or the N.C.S.F. and above all participate in our competition and you could win a weekend ticket for HSFCon 2023!

Imaginarium Festival

Van donderdag 26 mei 2022 tot en met zaterdag 28 mei 2022 kun je ons vinden op het Imaginarium Festival. Kom langs voor een praatje over de HSFCon, Eurcon 2024 of het N.C.S.F. en doe vooral ook mee aan onze wedstrijd en maak kans op een weekendkaart voor HSFCon 2023!

Most people knew:

That Clive Barker’s ‘Abarat’ was not made into a movie
what Kylo Ren’s scar looks like
that Tom Bombadil wasn’t in the Lord of the Rings movies
what the abbreviation HSF stands for (luckily 😉)

But only 1 person knew that the spaceship from question 16 was from Lexx.
The questions about locations in Terry Pratchett’s Discworld, the titles of short horror stories and the characters from The Expanse were also unknown to most.

The best answer to question 14 was ‘Thingy from The Expanse’.

About half of the participants should have taken a closer look at the posters for the Eurocon / the pennants that were distributed: it will take place in 2024, not 2023 😉

And did you know that…. If you simply guessed 123,456 on tie-breaker question 40, you would actually come quite close to the correct answer? The difference is only 13,775 words.

De meeste mensen wisten:

dat Clive Barker’s ‘Abarat’ niet verfilmd is
hoe het litteken van Kylo Ren eruit ziet
dat Tom Bombadil niet in de Lord of the Rings-films voorkwam
waar de afkorting HSF voor staat (gelukkig 😉)

Maar slechts 1 persoon wist dat het ruimteschip uit vraag 16 uit Lexx kwam.
Ook de locaties in Terry Pratchett’s Discworld, de titels van korte horror verhalen en de karakters uit The Expanse waren bij de meesten niet bekend.

Het mooiste antwoord op vraag 14 was toch wel ‘Dinges uit The Expanse’.

Ongeveer de helft van de deelnemers had de posters voor de Eurocon / de vaantjes die uitgedeeld werden wat beter moeten bekijken: deze vindt plaats in 2024, niet in 2023 😉

En wist je dat…. Als je bij tie-breaker vraag 40 gokte op 123.456, je best dicht bij het juiste antwoord in de buurt kwam? Het verschil is slechts 13.775 woorden.

HSFCon 2023: Feedback

The first HSFCon is barely over, but we continue at full speed with the preparations for the second HSFCon.

We would like to make HSFCon 2023 even better. What do you expect from the next HSFCon? What can be done differently? What needs to be done differently? Which guests of honor and guests would you like to see (again)? Do you have suggestions for panels, lectures or workshops? Do you want to help / participate in the next HSFCon? Constructive criticism is, of course, also more than welcome.

HSFCon 2023: Feedback

De eerste HSFCon is nog maar nauwelijks voorbij, maar wij gaan in volle snelheid verder met de voorbereidingen voor de tweede HSFCon.

HSFCon 2023 maken wij graag nog beter. Wat verwacht jij van de volgende HSFCon? Wat kan anders? Wat moet anders? Welke eregasten en gasten wil je graag (weer) zien? Heb je suggesties voor panels, lezingen of workshops? Wil je zelf meehelpen / participeren aan de volgende HSFCon? Natuur is ook opbouwende kritiek meer dan welkom.
